Thanatos

woman-covering-her-face-with-brown-scarf
When the feelings hurt
the bowels of the beast arise

half empty, glass; ask
                                                                            for more

Νo sweetness
or tender prayers

Silence and me
Deep Sleep, my lover
My agony, cannot bear

                                                                          to be extinguished

what's left of me
an old sketch
carved in stone, in bad shape
No voice of my own
bloody mess
Muddy sketch of death arises

I beg in silence
the devil's lurking
in deep Sleep I'm drowning

                                                                          to be extinguished
*
A bed, a couch or a bar
they all mean nothing to me

so I keep breathing, just breathe
no mercy.

I am floating
I keep on breathing
agony strong

I am choked
I am drowning inside
I keep on choking

These bare hands
I beg and cry, when I die
slowly and surely

I suffocate
                                                                            Alone Dead

  2. I’ve known a place like this – choking and drowning, with sobs catching in my throat… and just bare hands to beg with.
Not, on the face of it, a beautiful place. But you conjure it beautifully here.

    1. Thank you for your comment again ❤ This place I describe was so vivid and painful that almost resembled to death inside… It was a really dark time for me then. So I called it "Thanatos" which in Greek means "Death".
