Voracious

This is an English translation of my poem “Αδηφάγος” that I posted on my blog, in the Greek poems category. Even though it’s hard for me to translate poems from Greek to English, I hope that I did a good work and that all the meaning and the essence of my original poem was properly portrayed. Thank you all so much for the support, and most of all for caring enough to motivate me to start translating my Greek poems. Enjoy and stay safe!

 I come undone, my love, into the madness
                                          of fleeing
 I spread across the spine
 and the Reaper awaits

 All that ever was smother
 luminous images, inside of me
                                the void
 dancing on your thread

 The claws nailed inside,
 my dead flesh

 The sweet “I love you” that left too soon

 I’m looking for you in dark dreams
 and “together” seems like
                                        false truth
                                         the night
 comes again sucking the marrow

 I come undone my love, in the mercy of the fall;
