Metamorphosis

This is an English translation of my poem “Μεταμόρφωση“. You can also find it in the original form in my Greek poems category. Thank you all for the support!

black and white photography of a human statue
 When love and hell procreate
 the steel infant dies
 the blood pierces through
 when there in the womb
as a deity the beast rules the crowd
it rules with an iron fist
 wedged thorns creak
and as they creak they confess

 Mother I wept,
 Mother.

 *

The mother forgets in oblivion she remains
 And the anticipation, unclean

 *
 Mud the mother puked
 mud is her blood too
 the grey mother has risen

 drugged submission to the beast

 when love and hell procreate
